HELPFUL TIPS FOR BETTER PHOTOS.

Don't make a big deal out of photo day. Children can become a little anxious if you keep talking about the photographer and having their photos taken. By all means talk to them about it, but don't stress the point. I photograph thousands of children each year and even if your child is a little shy about photo day I will put them at ease. Please make sure that your child has a clean face before coming to kinder. You would be surprised at how many children arrive with left over breakfast or tooth paste on their face. I will clean a child's face if I notice that it needs to be done but sometimes the child is not very happy to have it done, better it is not there in the first place. The camera sees more detail than you would normally notice so please just do a double check. I have a supply of wipes with me, so if you need to, please ask me for one. If it looks like being a windy day and your daughter has long hair maybe a couple of clips to hold her hair in place would not go astray. Solid dark clothing colours can produce a bit of a cast on your child's face, especially in winter when they are looking a little paler. Multi coloured clothing produces a more vibrant look in the photos. If your child should have a scratch or some other blemish on their face on photo day and you would like me to retouch their photos please let me know when you are dropping off or picking up your child. I am more than pleased to do this but need to know that you would like it done. I do not retouch without being asked as some parents object to their child's photos being altered and I do not wish to upset anybody by doing this, without first being asked. I thank you and your centre for selecting me to photograph your children and will strive to capture photos that you and your family will treasure. I look forward to meeting and photographing your children on photo day.
